Rene Boni is the daughter of Survivors Sam and Shirley Don (Z”L). Her parents were involved in the efforts to create the Monument at the Holocaust Memorial Plaza. Rene is honored to sing the Shema, which her father used to say with her each night when she was a child.
Rene is a singer/songwriter who has performed in a variety of venues including the National Cathedral and the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC and numerous Folk Festivals. Her award-winning CD is a collection of Hebrew, Yiddish, and English songs for children. She is married to her childhood sweetheart, Dennis, and they are the proud parents of Erica and Daniel, and the kvelling grandparents of Omri Paz.
Rabbi Benjamin David is the senior rabbi of Reform Congregation Keneseth Israel in Elkins Park, PA. He is the grandson of four Holocaust survivors. Rabbi David is the co-editor of The Sacred Struggle, an anthology of personal stories that offer a moving exploration of how Jewish wisdom can help us navigate trauma. He and his wife, Lisa, live in Jenkintown and have three children: Noa, Elijah and Samuel.
Gili Ronen, she/her, was born in Jerusalem, raised in the Boston area, and has been in Philadelphia for over 30 years. Gili loves to sing loudly and in harmony whenever possible, and most joyfully with her talented children. She currently sings with Singing City choir. She is the proud daughter of Naomi Ross Ronen and Dov Ronen, PhD, a Holocaust survivor from Bekescsaba, Hungary who fled to Israel at age 16. Learn more about her father by reading: What on Earth am I Doing Here? Gili’s parents died in 2021, and she dedicates these vocal contributions to their memory.
Gili is a non-profit consultant who volunteers with Philly Goat Project, Kol Tzedek, and Philadelphia Area Disc Alliance and lives in Germantown with her family.
Avi Wisnia is an award-winning singer, songwriter, storyteller and educator based in Philadelphia. He performs his original compositions around the world – from The Kennedy Center in DC to concert tours in Japan, Poland, and Brazil. Avi has also given a TED Talk, performed with The Moth storytellers, and runs The Philly Songwriters Circle collective. He is featured in the PBS Documentary How Saba Kept Singing – which chronicles the travels of grandfather and grandson, performing music together, as Cantor David Wisnia recounts his incredible story of surviving the Holocaust by singing. Since his grandfather’s passing, Avi continues to share his Saba’s stories and songs, in order to educate and to ensure that we Never Forget. Learn more here.

Adam Monaco is a Philadelphia-based artist whose music is lush, melodic, and rooted in the beautiful stories that connect humanity. His lyrics feel like a conversation with an old friend—personal, thoughtful, and sincere. Through authentic performances, he moves audiences across the full range of emotion, from reflection to laughter with ease. He has recorded a series of singles with a seven-piece band, including the song Nevermind, and plans to release a full-length album in 2026 or early 2027. Learn more here.
Lynn Major is a music educator and cellist who plays for weddings and performs at events such as the Philly Fringe Festival. She offers a solo arrangement of Kol Nidre at her synagogue in West Philly.
Most recently, she has been playing with the Kamarády chamber group and co-leading the cello section of the Orchestra Society of Philadelphia. A graduate of Oberlin College, she has recorded on 3 compilations: pop; folk, and world music.
